“The college application process can be overwhelming for any family, but particularly for those who have chosen to homeschool. We learned that there are many documents and requirements that traditional schools provide for their students. As a homeschool parent/administrator, I had to create many of those documents, such as our school homeschool profile and transcripts for all four years of high school. I had confidence that I would not have had without her exceptional knowledge of the process. She knew exactly what we needed, and just as important, when we needed to supply the information that colleges required from us. Additionally, Lauren took Sean through a variety of aptitude tests and interest inventories that helped him identify areas of strength. These test results then provided information on what fields of study might capitalize on Sean’s particular academic strengths and interests, and Lauren walked him through all of this valuable information. Finally, Lauren took the time to get to know Sean. He looked forward to spending time with her, and she motivated him to meet application deadlines. Lauren engaged Sean in important conversations about what college experience would suit his personality and expectations best. Thanks to Lauren Jackson, Sean applied to schools that truly reflected who he is as a student and as a person.
